MUSIC & SPECIAL EVENTS
The Westown Association offers free, live music every Wednesday in the Zeidler Union Square gazebo from 11:45 am-1:45 pm. The lively tunes provide a musical backdrop for shoppers and the downtown lunch crowd. The local musicians perform a cross-section of musical types including swinging jazz, foot-stomping blue grass and exotic calypso.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The Westown Farmers Market creates a vibrant downtown while helping families in need, promoting wellness and creating community partnerships.
> On June 20, 2007, the Westown Association teamed up with Potawatomi Bingo & Casino to benefit Second Harvest of Wisconsin. Produce vendors and customers donated more than 500 pounds of fresh produce and canned food items to help fight hunger in the community.
> Most of the market vendors accept WIC (Women, Infants and Children) vouchers.
