stj2St. James was built in 1903 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Its architects, Ferry & Clas, designed a number of very prominent Milwaukee buildings including the Central Library and the Pabst Mansion. Mr. Clas also lived in the Saint James Court building. Saint James Court has been completely restored in accordance with the US Department of Interior’s standards for historic renovation. The building offers a blend of historic charm and exceptional customer service at an exciting downtown location. Character abounds with hardwood floors, decorative fireplaces, stained glass, claw foot tubs, high ceilings, lots of big windows, a mahogany and marble entrance, and a completely restored bird cage elevator. Apartments are big and roomy. The colorful, meticulously maintained flower garden, which won a 2005 Mayor’s Award, is a sure sign that Saint James Court is a very special place. At Saint James Court you’ll feel cozy, comfortable and right at home.
